Your addiction is not you. It does not define you. You are someone who exists in relationship to a substance or behavior. Deep down you are still You. This we call the True Self, Higher Self, soul or spirit. One way to reclaim your True Self is to create a relationship with your Best Future Self. The potential of who you are and can be is always calling you, inviting you to fully manifest your essence and destiny. Discover your Best Future Self and the tools to help you move beyond your addictions and demoting habits.

When we feel we cannot cope or manage the demands placed on us by other people, our work situation, life events or our relationships, we experience stress. Stress is not an external set of circumstances; it’s the way we interpret and react to those circumstances. This internal stress is often the trigger that drives us to addictive behaviors. Understand the stress response and how to manage stress to better manage your addictions and demoting habits.

3. Beyond Addiction – Decrease Your Cravings – March 9, 2019

The brain reward pathway is the primary neurological route through which we experience pleasure. Natural activities such as eating, drinking, having sex, and receiving a massage stimulate this pathway, allowing us to experience pleasure. Activities such as shopping, gambling and the use of addictive substances also engage this pathway. We’ll explore ways to better understand what underlies addictions and demoting habits, and work with tools like mental processing, breath and meditation to decrease your cravings.

Cost: $40 Early Bird by March 5th; $50 Regular Price; $30 for Members; Need financial assistance? Please contact Nirmal directly.

4. Beyond Addiction – Change Your Habits – April 20, 2019

Your goal is to maximize your promoting habits and minimize your demoting habits. To do so you must understand what beliefs you hold about yourself and how they influence your behaviors. How can you be more engaged in your process of recovery, whether from a belief, behavior or a substance? We’ll look at ways to change beliefs, reduce demoting habits and increase promoting habits to help manifest your Best Future Self.
