Officially launched at Sat Nam Fest in Joshua Tree, California in April 2012, the “Essence of God’s Name” tour is a celebration of sacred sound. Snatam Kaur leads the audience on a heart-opening experience to bliss and beyond. She is joined by a collective of enlightened musicians to induce a deeply meditative flow of grace that re-calibrates the soul, aligning it to love, light and compassion. Joining her is San Francisco based guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and composer Todd Boston, tabla player/percussionist Ramesh Kannan and cellist Matthew Schoening weave a deeply lavish and transcendental vibrational grid.
Snatam’s legacy as a teacher, sacred singer, luminary touring performer and prolific recording artist are the fruit of an 11-year of non-stop journey of live performances attended by tens of thousands of both devoted followers and new faces. She recently graced the pages of Oprah’s “O” magazine and performed for Oprah on her birthday in Maui. Like countless others around the planet Oprah “plays her [music] everyday before meditating”.
